NI weather: Hottest day of the year recorded - and the good news is that we're heading for another week of wall-to-wall sunshine

The highest temperature of the year so far has been recorded in Co Tyrone as the mercury soared to almost 25C.

The warmest place in Northern Ireland was in Castlederg, Tyrone, where the mercury reached 24.5 degrees centigrade.
